ABOUT ENGINEERS WITHOUT BORDERS TAIWAN
EWB-Taiwan’s current focus is to solicit retired notebooks and make them reusable, then donate to the children at remote area where resources for their education are desperately needed. Taiwan is one of the world major notebook producer. Almost 65% of notebooks produced in the world are from Taiwan which amount to over 60 million sets. Due to the fast technology improvement in the hardware and software, existing notebooks in use retire faster and faster which accumulate used notebook faster than ever. In order not to let all the used notebook to idle or become waste to deteriorate our environment, we select the approach to make most of all used notebooks to become useful and start a new journey for their educational use.
